Privacy policy

This is a courtesy translation. The German version is legally binding.

1. Controller

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you visit, the server processes technically necessary data such as IP address, date, time, page visited and browser information. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in secure and stable operation.

3. Online registration

If you use the registration form, we process your details (licence class, name, birth details, nationality, address, contact details, preferred times, message and, where applicable, details of parents or guardians) to handle your registration. The legal bases are Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future.

The details are sent to our server via HTTPS and from there by email to the driving school. They are not stored on the web server. We delete them when they are no longer needed for the registration, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

4. Spam protection and location check

To protect against misuse, the server checks your IP address against a local list when you visit and submit, to see whether it is assigned to Germany. No data is sent to third parties for this. To limit excessive requests, a non-reversible checksum of the IP address is stored for at most 48 hours. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

5. Local storage and cookies

We use no tracking or advertising cookies. In your browser's local storage we only remember your language, your map decision and the location notice. This is technically necessary (§ 25(2) TDDDG) or based on your choice. You can change your decision under "Cookie settings" in the footer.

6. Google Maps

The map only loads if you agree. Data such as your IP address is then transferred to Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and possibly to the USA. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw at any time.

7. Links to social networks and WhatsApp

Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp are only linked. Data is only transferred when you click a link. The privacy policy of the respective provider then applies.

8. Fonts

Fonts are loaded from our own server. There is no connection to Google Fonts.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and to withdraw consent. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority; in North Rhine-Westphalia this is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit NRW.
